Date: 4th July 2010

The Knebworth Youth Festival has grown in popularity year by year and we try to place great emphasis on players, parents and spectators enjoying the event rather than having to endure it.

For 2010 we are additionally hoping to attract some overseas teams making it a truly international affair during what is a World Cup year.

There will be the usual refreshments, all-day BBQ, first aid staff, official photographers etc. and Knebworth Youth will provide all referees and match balls so that the managers and coaches can also enjoy the games without having to get involved and officiate.

Depending on numbers, we do expect to have group qualifying games followed by knockout rounds through to finals where both the winners and the runners-up will receive trophies for their efforts.

Where possible, we like to ensure that every team has a minimum of at least four matches on the day to make the trip worthwhile, and we will also try and contain each competition within either the morning
or the afternoon session so that you are not hanging around all day.

Priority will be given to previous participants, as demand is expected to be high, as we like to give preferential treatment to those that have helped make the tournament such a success in the past. If places remain after the priority deadline of 28th February 2010, a general invitation will go out to all clubs for the remaining places.
