Young Peoples Participation Officer, Rotherham United Community Sports Trust
Salary:
£17,000 - £22,000 depending on qualifications and/or experience
Hours: 37 hours a week (including some evenings and weekends)
Term: Full time - permanent


The post holder will be based with Rotherham United Community Sports Trust.


The post holder will be responsible for increasing and widening participation and creating a coordinated programme, with a wide range of activities that promotes sports participation to the children and young people of Rotherham.


We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual with a proven track record of increasing participation either in school or community settings.


You should have experience of co-ordinating, planning and organising sport delivery, competitions, events, supervising and mentoring volunteers and assistant coaches, with South Yorkshire Sport/Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA etc.  Have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with a range of stakeholders, liaising with special schools, parents, sports clubs etc.


You should have a minimum of two years coaching experience and possess a minimum of one level 2 National Governing Body Sports Coaching qualification.  A range of level 1 governing body awards would be an advantage.


An offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory enhanced disclosure by the Criminal Records Bureau as the post involves working with children and vulnerable adults.
