An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Gloucestershire Football Association.

This is a full-time (37.5hrs) position, supporting all areas of football development, leading / implementing key aspects of the County Strategy to ensure the delivery of performance targets. It encompasses the following key areas:

- Developing programmes to sustain adult (11v11) participation by supporting adult leagues and other key agencies.

- Leading on work relating to the retention of players aged 14-19 by encouraging more flexible formats of football and enhanced use of 3G facilities

- Building links between schools and FA Charter Standard Clubs to increase and retain participation in all areas of the game.

- Delivering the FA Charter Standard programme for leagues and clubs within the County.

- Leading programmes to develop Young Leaders and volunteers in the game.

- Acting as Lead Officer in the local implementation of the Respect Programme.

The successful candidate is likely to be of graduate calibre with knowledge and experience of sports/football development. An understanding of grassroots football structures and development pathways at local, regional and national level is also required. You will need to be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level and be able to plan, set and achieve objectives within strict deadlines. Candidates must also demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised and on their own initiative.

Experience of managing projects/events that demonstrate sound organisation and planning skills is required. Excellent communication, presentation and IT skills also will be expected. Applicants must hold a valid car driving licence and be able to work some evenings and weekends.
